Oxfam say thank you

Following January's devastating earthquake in Haiti, Dido gave her Life For Rent dress to be auctioned for Oxfam's Haiti relief effort. Thanks to your generous bids, the dress raised a whopping £790. Oxfam have asked us to pass on this video to say thanks for your support.

If nothing else, I need to tell the Truth of my Life, and the reason I am at least one of Didos #1 fans...and the Truth of my Life. I only joke around when I am Happy, and I was happy when I felt Free, when Florian felt free. But SHE hasn't felt free since she realized her name meant "Fred". But again, it goes a lot deeper than that.I recall a time in what had to be in 1999, if it was before Dec. 20, I was all of 18 years old. I had been drinking and smoking since I was 13-14 so I remember bein blowed out my mind. But the memory is only emblazoned in my Hearts history, not my mind, because it was the first time I seen Dido. It was real late, I was sitting in my living room alone, in the dark, then all of a sudden her video for "Here With Me" came on. From the first shot of her layin on that couch I just remember my insides sittin up like "aaww shit"...she was as cute as a Button. I scanned and process like I always did, its real rapid fire scannin & processin now. But to sum it up, cuz I have a lot to say, her pretty physical caught me, but when that music began to pulsate, it entranced me. And the progression of the video, the story it told about her Life, I never forgot that moment, even today...that won't let me let her go. Even though it seems EVERYONE but HER once that to happen. That was my first experience with her. Even when she blew up when slim used "Thank You" for stan and put her in the video, I still did not become a fan of hers. She was jus a cute British singer, by then I forgot the moment I "met" her in my Mind, but obviously not my Heart. I got a way with words, an even better way with women, the only insecurities I have are physical, so on the internet...its the MAIN reason I have "International Heart Breaker" tatted on the back of my neck. And thanks to my #1 cousin, who "introduced" me to the music of my two Telepathic, MetaPhysical, Love Affairs....I did not become a fan of Dido's music until around 2006, and that whas when I was already in decline with my "relationship" with Marie. When I met Mya, my cousin had her cd on his tv, I said damn who is that, how is her music...it jus said it was shite, he bought it because she was cute, I said I will take it off of his hands, notice her pattern, her web, was drawn in, then made her fantasy come true. Later, that same cousin, years later, the same situation, he had Dido "No Angel" sitting around. The same situation, I wasn't even recalling that moment when I first seen her vid, her her bein on slims song, then I asked...what is her music like....all he said was "its Suicide Music"...I grabbed it and said I need this then, and that is when I became a "fan" finally. My scanning and process and the fact that this is HER STORY and HER MUSIC, it made me see, na, she aint my type at all, but I think the fact she is FREE with her Love and her Body is Hot, cuz I WAS the same way...I just couldnt afford to have 7-12 kid and 5-6 baby mama like many "Comin From Where I'm From" but I knew she wasn't my type. By then, I had already become a legendary mythical figure because of my relations with Mya, and turnin on a few more, and somewhat unbeknownst to me, many people from my City already "KNEW" of me. So unwillingly, I made my first facebook and myspace and "foolishly" broadcast who I was to a select few females, and it was cool lettin myself go and bein myslef to the world. And that was the time I really got into Dido. And that is the time she REALLY got into me. I remember this because I was just listenin and slowly becomin obsessed with "No Angel"...and again my Nigga this was in like 2006! I remember addin her to my impressive list of favorite artists, i remember typin the lyrics to "Slide" on my pages, and I remember everytime I typed her name...I just wrote (i love her) afterwards, cuz I did, her music, and her standout person...but for fucks sake mate!....she was a stranger...and I was already thinkin I was crazy for bein Telepathic and bein the most famous celebrity who did not want to be a celebrity..and yes..I STILL DONT! But things changed for Dido when I sent this on 16/6/2007 for her "Ask Dido" hookup on her website: (sorry Hunny D, got to sum it up, just to show and prove no matter what happens from here) Hey Dido. I think you're just great. I'm still pretty much a new fan of yours. I only own one of your projects and thats your first album. I've had it for about a year now and slowly but surely its becoming a very personal favorite. That album is one of the best collection of songs, just like ever. Anyway. I could ask so many questions pertaining to this fact, or your standout person. But I wish for you to respond to an intersting thought that I had once while listening to you sing. I have a pretty good singing voice but I only sing alone. But I went through this process of discovering and enjoying my own voice. I now feel this is something that all good to great singers experience at one point in their lives. I wonder what is was like for you, when you went through that process. Your voice is arguably the most unique in this or anytime. I wonder what you felt in those moments when you first discovered your voice and the feelings that you have when you are just singing alone to yourself. I know this is pretty deep but I'm a hypersentive and cant help it. Keep going Dido. You may not be an angel but you sing like one. (i wonder how many times you heard that,lol) Christopher Detroit, MI, USA That is when she fell in Love with me...but I was just bein a LightWorker, knowing she was said and suicidal like me, and I wanted to say something impacting that would lift her Spirit....I had no clue how tough her Life had been. !SO! Moving along. One must understand the things I have been able to see because of the way people respond and react to me and my presence and my power in videos because of mya, because of the people i know in the CITY, and because of my "status" in the CITY and my bloodlines....on both sides of the many sides and interpretations of "The Law". So understand when I started to see it, in spurts of course in Dido, I started to changed. And it all came to a head on this page, and with my favorite album of all my favorite albums of alltime "Safe Trip Home". That is all I can write for now, I am gettin really sad, but I have to say this. I wrote a book entitled "A Breath From Beyond", and the way it mirrors our lives...and the lead character is a suicidal international megastar named Diamond Dinah Diana, I began writing this when I wasnt conscious of Dido, and I finishied around the time I was just gettin into her music...but the paralles are Destiny. That is why I call her Diamond Dido now...and that IS WHY SHE IS MY DIAMOND...and will REMAIN my Wife...no matter who in the fuck think they OWN us cuz we come from a plot of land on Earth and our physical bodies come from different lands that want to say they OWN shit they did not create. That is why I was joking and angry...at them...not anyone else. But this is for her, I want for everyone to read my book, my publisher "PublishAmerica" is a SLUM PUBLISHER...and that is why I was waiting until the contract expires with them before I reintroduce it...but for my close personal friends on here...which is ALL of Didos REAL & TRUE fans...I am writing for you NOW...I have been living for her for awhile now...so trust me...she UNDERSTANDS the "Odyssey of an Oddity"...the name of my standup comedy show that has been runnin and gettin scripted in my head for years now...its too serious now tho.
