"What was your dream job when you were a child?"

How do you pick your setlists?

Dido replies: I definitely think pretty carefully about taking the audience on a journey as I would when choosing the order of an album. I pick the songs that are the most fun to do live and then create highs and lows and quiet moments and jumping around moments. The lighting is also really satisfying to work on as it’s something I really enjoy when I go to a show myself - when I feel like I can see the music.
What's the best thing you've ever made yourself (other than music)?

Do you like the cinema? If your answer is yes (like I think) what is the last movie did you see? And what is your favorite movie?

Dido replies: The last movie I saw was on a plane last week and it was called Elegy. It was good actually. It’s hard to pick my favourite movie. But a few highlights of my life were seeing the Godfather movies, Star Wars (I wanted to watch them every weekend), Shawshank Redemption, Goodfellas, most Pedro Almodóvar movies, Midnight Cowboy, the Graduate, ET (I went to see it for my birthday when I was about 10 and it was the first movie that made me cry). The next movie that made me cry uncontrollably was Gone With The Wind. Jaws was another favourite. I didn’t go in the sea for about 2 years after seeing that.
What was your dream job when you were a child? A singer?

Dido replies: A tennis player. Completely unrealistic, but I was just obsessed with it.

when i was growin up i always wanted to be a electrician but i got stuck with powder coating (spray painter) good job but a dirty one lol u helped me through some hard times when i was younger thank u :-) |

a lampshade? I used a bottle of smirnoff vodka and a bottle of Mateus Rose to make lamps which now need shades, maybe you could make another and I could swap you a bottle for one of them... |

But it's always great to read from you and listen to your fantastic music, it makes me feel like you are with me all the time and it fits my every mood! Keep it up. Can't wait to listen to new songs. I recently watched Marley & Me. I don't usually cry when it comes to movies but I bawled my eyes out! It was still a really good movie! If you have time and haven't already seen it, you should def. watch it. I have been a fan for about 8 years, when a friend turned me on to your music. I love it! Your songs never get old! Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep listening. Much Love! |

When I was 12 it was also my dream to be a tennis player...I really loved Chris Evert Lloyd and Mats Wilander... do you remember them? But I think it wouldn't have been so unrealistic for you....to be a singer is unrealistic the same for most people ....but it hasn't been for you....you could have been a good tennis player and I'm sure I would have loved you in the same way!!!!!Cause I think you excel in everything you do. It's strange or not but Dido has very similar tastes with mine: she loves football (she's a fan of Arsenal) and it's my favourite London club, she loves tennis, she loves cinematography (Pedro Almodovar is my favourite director too) and most movies she marked I enjoy too... And her songs musicaly and in lyrics are so close for me that I'm listening them for so many years again and again and they are helping me in hard times in my life or making me happier when all is well. So I want to say Thank You, Dido, for all You've wrote and made and for all songs You'll write in the future. Waiting for Your concerts to see You LIVE, it is my dream. And my question to You: What are Your favourite musicians, what music You prefer to listen?
