Dido fans' £1,600 Oxfam birthday gift

At the end of last year, the fine folks at the Official Dido Message Boards decided to celebrate Dido's birthday by donating to Oxfam. Their original aim was to raise £500, but thanks to some amazing generosity, the total at www.justgiving.com/happybirthdaydido currently stands at a whopping £1,600.
Says Dido: I want to thank of all of you for being so generous and donating to oxfam for my birthday! That was such a great thing to do and the money will be used so well by oxfam. This was the best birthday present. Thankyou. I was thinking today that I love this quote from mother theresa: 'the needs are great, and none of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love and together we can do something wonderful'.

And i think that we can always be united to do something not only for Oxfam, but for the whole world. Somethings like that can change the world. Congratulations to all fans who donated and Dido for the recognize it. I hope it help many people.And please, post something about your Safe Trip Home. There will be released a 2nd single? Or the STH era it's over? STH will be re-released? When all the Director short films will be online? Where's Dido? There's some questions that need to be answer to us. Please. |

Each fan made what he was able to to give it. Some fans being very young and without income.The main thing is to have participated in a charitable helping work for the most deprived. To Make it for the Dido's birthday is nice cos she's a an open-mind woman. Thanks all. |

Safe Trip Home is Released here in Lebanon, and its in Top 5 ...Lebanese Radio Station are Realy making GREAT job in your songs, especially with the song "It Comes And It Goes" !! they put it every 30 min !! coz its Amazinggg !!! especially the radio station "Sawa" "With Each Others" ... this radio station is known only to put arabic music, but Because u r so talented, they put ur songs VERY MUCH !!! and MTV arabia is puttin Dont Beleive in love and Melody Hits , tunes and Arabia too !!!!!
