I was surprised by the sombre and nonchalant mood, limited musical range and limited vocal energy Dido uses on this album.Maybe she has gone through some troubling personal circumstances in order to write this album, and the album does its best to convey some mourning or sorrow. Sympathy to you, Dido, and let us know when you will be back in the mindset to give us upbeat music like your first two albums set our expectations for. |

I've been a fan since the first album came out, but have never felt so connected to Dido's music until this album. The absolute raw emotional landscape is unparalleled. "The Day Before The Day" left me weak raw and crying my eyes out! there is seldom a song that can take me to that place. Not only does is show incredible vulnerability, but also exposes the true talent of a gifted artist!thanks so much!!!! |
